    VTG Sony TC-125 Cassette Recorder Tape Deck Tapecorder Distributed by Superscope.
    Nice tape deck top loading by Sony. Made in Japan.
    I think this one's from the early 1970s.
    I cleaned it internally, relubed where needed, and replaced the belt.
    It plays, rewind fast forward pause control All work.
    I did not put a new belt on the tape counter.
    Cleaned the tape heads rollers pins etc
    I have not tried to record on it, but when you press play and record the record light does come on.
    The noise suppression works. I believe it was a precursor to Dolby.
    The biggest flaw is the eject button does not work. Stick a tape in manually, and you have to take it out manually. The door you have to open and close manually.
    Other than that it has a few light scratches here or there but nothing major.
    Comes from a smoke-free home.
